I have no admiration for the center-right government, though I fear them less than the growing nationalist movement which is reminiscent of the Horthy cabal that found common cause with the Nazis. Nor do I have anything but contempt for the former government - the Hungarian "Socialist" Party - that sold out to the IMF in the first place.

Make no mistake about it, the Fidesz Party is only responding to the discontent from years of austerity and dare not risk total capitulation to the IMF if they hope to hold power.

Please remove my name from the roster of "globalization" critics. "Globalization" is a tag with little but hot air behind it. I prefer to be identified as a capitalism critic.

Thanks for the comment

ZZzoltan zigedyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09376602245528691381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6679900905356691531.post-88520732185952963642010-08-04T19:23:50.275-07:002010-08-04T19:23:50.275-07:00Interesting how well-liked and admired rightwing p...Interesting how well-liked and admired rightwing populist governments are by globalization critics as long as they fight with the IMF.Henry Kasparnoreply@blogger.com
